Building History

7110 Main Street in Frisco, TX was originally purchased on February 2, 1911 by the Gulledge family. The Gulledge brothers, J.F. and Lee, owned a mercantile and grocery store in Frisco.  This store closed in 1915 upon the death of Lee Gulledge.   Mrs. Mattie Gulledge, Lee’s widow, built the house that stands on the property today.   It is believed that she took in boarders (teachers who lived in the area) to support herself and her three children.   After moving to Dallas, Mattie sold the house to Claude Rogers in 1935. The house remained in the Rogers family until 1983.
